What about AMD?

hate to say it, but i think its going down some more. Intel just outmans them, especially right now. I'd cut your losses and pick up some INTC. or rather, I'd just short AMD and try to gain some of your losses back. i think it will hit 10 or even single digits soon enough

I will wait on this stock, AMD while going through a rough patch with the recent acquisition of ATI has a lot in store. Wait for the release of Barcelona and let the money start coming from its acquisitions!

I lost a lot too, can't bear to watch it go down anymore, getting out until it hits bottom, long term I think it wil definitely go up back to it's average, I've been hearing 10 might be the bottom maybe that would be a good time to get back in

The main problem is amd has a ton of capacity and intel is using that against them by slashing prices. So whats amd to do? they have to slash prices in order to keep the chips flowing and the factories pumping out chips. To which, intel just slashed priced 40-60% on some models.



Then on the other hand you have Nvidia beating ati into the ground with the geforce 7 and 8 series of cards.



Ati was supposed to have the upcomming r600 chip out last november but its a disaster. Early reports indicate it uses double the watts of power and yet only equals or is even slightly inferior to nvidia geforce 8800 refresh.
