The Big Box Battle: Dogs or Discounts?

There has been been some great battles in recent years between big box stores. Winners like Walmart, Best Buy and losers like Kmart and Ultimate Electronics.

I think Circuit City is unofficially done. Office Depot is probably next.

Just wanted to get a sense of what other members think of the Big Box battles? Which ones are rotting in the hot August sun and which ones are ripe for discount picking?

I think BBY is a bargain, I like the CEO and the direction he is taking the company.

WMT will continue to grow but after the recent appreciation I think it would be wise to wait for a pullback before jumping in

i dont think it is time to get into HD yet give the housing market a few more years

One more thing on WMT is that if they significantly expand their drug distribution that could mean significantly higher revenue
