To suggest that the world food shortage is caused by corn-based biofuel production is ludicrous. And you fail to mention that IPI sells mostly within the US where ethanol production is stronger than ever. You also aren't explaining an obvious missing piece to your scenario: If using corn for biofuel is causing global famine, then ending the use of corn for ethanol production shouldn't have any ...

Vale was once a nationalized company and still has close ties to the Brazilian government, some would say too close. Because Vale is so closely identified with its home country it would be unacceptable to sell to the Chinese. No one who even entertain such a move would never be allowed as CEO.
