Oh, boy. They made a series of moves that got them up to their eye balls. They talk hard about what they are doing, but they sell that medium high level home that is taking a big hit because of cost of construction. They dumped land, and they did the cut of price gig, but it may be that time will run out on them if they have to run too lean. They need to build enough homes to keep the master craftsmen in town or the local talent may jump ship looking for work. More desirable areas have not lost value and have in fact gained. These areas are magnets for talent of all levels. It is expensive to move and almost impossible to move back. If they are smart, they will do what is necessary to keep talent available to train new workers when the housing slump is over....if they can afford to wait it out. That's the trick.
