Imitation may be the sincerest form of flattery, but coming close isn't flattering, but embarrassing. I am not an Apple Dead Head. I've never owned a Mac,used one, but did drive a Mack for many years as a garbageman. Steve Jobs may be ill, may be healthy, may be a lunatic to work for, he could be massaging your temples during a tough time when you are stuck. One things that Steve Jobs is...he remains one of the best true innovators in this Tech field that is getting so overblown with some brilliance in gadjets and some multi billion dollar absurdities. Zune Zune Zune is not a Mazda commercial. My personal opinion is the IP2 or the frequent urinator, as long as its follows the Terminator 2 sounding theme will be bigger than expected. Blackberry will always have its loyalists, like Erin Burnett on CNBC who never fails to mention something her Blackberry does better and can't wait for the Bolt or the Thunder. Most of the ingrained owners are already going to re up and spend less $ for their device, even with some AT &T charges. It is more a computer than a smart phone. ( credit that remark to CNBC Silicon Valley reporter, Jim Goldman I believe)
the supposed shipping of 15 million units here, millions more there, in unmarked boxes, shows at least, AAPL and Jobs seem well prepared for something. I do not believe they want to get caught with their proverbial shorts down in this unique sellers opportunity.
I predict we are going to see nothing like this for quite sometime. Let's say the biggest roll-out of anything I've seen in my lifetime of any product. no shortages like Cabbage Patch Dolls or any of the Elmo's, or even Wii's.
Let me go on record right here and now as stating I have no clue what half the stuff is on it, even the old one. I do not need one, but I sure as hell want one. If Mr. Jobs would like to get in good with the disabled people in our country, i would be glad to try one out on behalf of all my brothers and sisters. (too obvious a try)?
I am holding this stock, hopefully selling and re-buying at the correct times. I got in a little too early, or as Guy Adami wonderfully puts it, you weren't early, you were wrong! Same for trying to catch the bottom.
Well hopefully see y'all all the Aaple Thanksgiving dinner for all us new millionaires, (not with my 125 shares). Knowing Steve Jobe Jobs, it will probably be pot luck and BYOU, bring your own utensils. With him, there probably is a reason though! (I reallydon'tknow Steve Jobs)
good luck in all, up or down friends
