Jack in the Box, Inc. owns, operates, and franchises quick-service restaurants and fast-casual restaurants in the United States. As of September 30, 2007, it operated 2,132 quick-service restaurants, including 1,436 company-operated and 696 franchise-operated under the Jack in the Box brand name. The company also operated 395 fast-casual restaurants, including 90 company-operated and 305 franchise-operated under the Qdoba Mexican Grill brand name. In addition, it operates 60 convenience stores under the name Quick Stuff, including a fuel station adjacent to a Jack in the Box restaurant. The company was founded in 1951 and is based in San Diego, California.
