It has a strategic alliance with Abbott Laboratories to discover, develop, and commercialize molecular diagnostic products for disease detection, prediction of disease predisposition, disease progression monitoring, and therapy selection. The Corporate segment licenses small molecule drug development programs and Life Technologies? intellectual property to third parties for use in the diagnostic field; and establishes collaborations to develop cancer therapies based on its proteomics discoveries.
