Let's face it, this is a risky bet, but no risk no reward. Lots of positive news is out there about E*Trade although it is hard to tell whether or not it's a concentrated PR effort or a legitimate sign of a turnaround. Only time will tell. Insiders are buying, they've embarked on a huge marketing effort, there's a pending appointment of a new CEO and the stock continues to defy the overall market moves. This all goes without saying that overall their product is one of the industry's best. No crystal ball here, but it seems like a smart and cheap bet with some dollars I had sitting in a savings account.
