Is technology a place to run from?

EMC (and VMW) have taken a beating, along with the rest of the market. However EMC (and VMW) are going to rise from the technology ashes and reach their highs of last year again in 2008. Technology spending is cutting back, forcing (small and large alike) businesses to stop the purchasing of new server hardware. VMW is being considered a cost effective replacement to maintain growth without the overhead of additional hardware (power, cabling, etc.). These companies will also require disk (SAN) to continue the growth. While these two holdings (EMC and VMW) are down as of late, when we start to see the momentum picking up steam, here is where you want to be

Tuff call on EMC, they continue to drop slowly with the rest of the tech sector. Their valuation, in both investment in VMWare, Cash and stock should put them into the $18/$19 range, yet they can;t seem to get traction. If you can buy in and wait out the "bear" run on tech, do it now. Once it gets momentum, I don't think we will see these price points again.
