United Online (UNTD) disclosed in an 8-K filing with the SEC that it is cutting about 50 employees in the Downers Grove, Illinois unit of its FTD online flower retailing unit. The company said the positions eliminated are under 5% of FTDâ€™s global workforce, and reflects its previous forecast for a decline in FTDâ€™s revenues in 2009 due to the economic downturn.
