GE is nice here! (GE, rated BUY)

Everyone knows that GE's stock has been flatlined for the

past 5years, but the stock is under a 15p.e. and paying a 4%

dividend. If they can manage to sell some of its

underperforming assets at a decent price and plow into higher

growth business(s) the stock could be a great buy in the next

5 years. I think this could be a really good entry point.

NFLX is a SELL!!! (NFLX, rated SELL)

Netflix was upgraded today by Lehman Brothers on a device that can stream movies from your computer to your tv. The stock is up over %8 on the news. The player cost $99. This is a great idea, but many other company's exist. Many other companies will get in this area (apple, microsoft, amazon, tivo),to name a few. Will costomers have enough money to pay for this upfront, when gas is at $4 a gallon. Early adopters will get the service, but Netflix depends on a very large mass market. Most people don't want another box to hook up. I just think eventually the cable companies like time warner will do this with microsoft or apple. To much competition!!! SELL on the upgrade or hold short.

Valero good here! (VLO, rated BUY)

Valero has been hurt over the last 12 months. Could things improve? Margins have been squeezed by the rising cost of production. (cost of crude, ect.) This is called the "crack spread" which is the difference between the cost of crude and what they get for gasoline they produce. Last spring they got $34 a barrel. The stock hit a all time high. This spring they are getting about $ 6.00 a barrel, but as the summer comes around the crack spread could go alot higher. The stock is down 32% for the year. Although this stock could go down further, im jumping in now.
