solar stocksBefore the opening bell on July 30, Northern California-based Akeena Solar Inc. (NASDAQ: AKNS) reported a 17% decline in second-quarter revenue year over year. However, like we've seen so often this earnings season, the company's cost-savings efforts resulted in a better-than-expected bottom-line earnings numbers.

Akeena reported a net loss of 9 cents per share in the quarter, a number well above the 11-cent loss expected by Wall Street.

Solar cannot be overlooked anymore, Akeena will be top 3 solar companies in US in the years to come. Instead of people spending 25k on a kitchen remodel spend it on solar. It will make more sense to people once people understand the logistics, and that solar is not like it was in the 70's.  It just needs to get shoved in their face.  :)

I like this one..I've been to their new offices in Los Gatos, CA. They seem very legit. They're not a producer of solar, but a designer that implements them to homes and businesses. They are opening more operations around the country. Right now, solar upgrades are expensive on the retail end. But eventually, prices will level out. The angle you want to play is this company's growth in market share. New product announcements will drive this stock along with earnings since it is mature enough for it to count. <> I will add so much to my position if it dips below 8.00 I got in originally with akeena at 7.10 a couple weeks back.  I have put a lot of time and effort into solar and Akeena.  I can tell you this Microcap is already a small cap if you get what I'm saying.  They have had over 100% growth in revenue over an annual basis.  There last quarter was a blow out, and they have added so many resources since then.  The STP deal for example, mean's one think for Akeena more GMP.  We have no even seen the results of this partnership reflected on the quarters in the past.  Another thing to keep in min< />< />< /><>< />< />< />...
