Although I love AMD, I can't say the same for their stocks. I had a loss on them previously. Don't let your emotions cloud your judgement I guess. But I am ready to give them another shot at these price level. AMD can not go under for several reasons. 1. Many foreign investors are waiting to pump money into AMD.  2. Intel will NOT allow AMD to go under. If AMD is gone, Intel will be split up by regulators for being a monopoly in the desktop/laptop CPU market.

the latest desktop quad processors are unimpressive: slower than Intel at same speeds, more power consumption, higher price, lower yields. Only bright spot was the ATI recent release of the GPU which while still slower (5-10%) than Nvidia's offering, provides another option in the GPU wars at a competitive price; while this is good for consumers, AMD cannot and will not survive another price war with Intel.
