The company is the largest manufacturer and distributor of industrial, medical and speciality gases in the country. It’s business is well insulated from the economic slowdown, and it just hiked its dividend payment by 33%.

According to my broker, shares in ArmorGroup International (ARG/LN or AMGPF/OTC) closed yesterday at about USD $1.46. That's back to where it was before plunging 11% last week after announcing its year-end results would be marginally lower than expected.

Anything could happen -- as you've read me write repeatedly, there are risks with this pick. The pipeline of projects could dry up, for one thing. So even though I'm cautiously optimistic about ArmorGroup, there are no guarantees.

So far, the June Buy call for Airgas (NYSE: ARG) is performing better than expected. Institutional investors have looked past near-term sluggish revenue to projected brighter quarters in FY2010, hence I'm Reiterating my Buy rating for the company, first recommended on June 24, 2009 at a price of $39.89. If you bought ARG then, you're up about 22%.

Airgas is the U.S.'s largest distributor of packaged gases and welding, safety and related products. In general, analysts see a choppy FY2009 for Airgas, with revenue expected to fall 5-10%, on both lower demand and pricing pressure.
