There are much more competitions in auto industry than credit card industry. The problems in AXP is temporary. They can not hurt its moats in long term. But F have not any durable moat.

Credit Card Defaults are nearly double of what they were six months ago but Amex is more into travel related services esp as far as the US is concerned. high time it's last 12 months performance were obviated and a fresh start considered. a small bump then to figure out  what 2009 holds for it, may not be too good but this is bad enough!

The 60-minute trend is positive according to the force index indicator. %b has printed a slightly negative divergence. On Monday morning prices will open up on a gap that will test previous high. I've said on many occasions that I prefer MasterCard (NYSE: MA) to Visa (NYSE: V). No, I don't mean the card products themselves. I mean the stocks. I believe Visa has better brand equity associated with it, and I think it possesses a little more depth and fundamental prowess. However, both of these companies operate on the same basic economic model: collect fees on transactions, and don't take on loan risk.
