Blockbuster Inc, which abandoned its offer to buy Circuit City Stores Inc this week, may try to acquire the electronics retailer later, the New York Post said Thursday citing insiders. One source told the paper that Blockbuster "verified the long-term benefits of a deal," and added that a there was a "real opportunity" to cut costs in combining the two chains' operations. Blockbuster is my favorite movie rental service. They have come up with aggressive strategies recently but have been facing some stiff competition from Netflix. With the summer and holiday season coming up they should be seeing some good sales. Good time to buy now, Its at a low after the initial climb early this year

NFLX is no doubt gourmet popcorn, but the mass-appeal and VFM of BBI just can't be beat. Total access plan combined with brick & mortar presence is enough to hedge out all competition for mainstream movie-buffs. Was overpriced for quite a while, but now has fallen to less than realistic levels. Buy & Hold...make a killing ! Get some !
