This trade worked out nicely for us, if this is the not the "big one" ...

Friday we sold half our CNinsurance (CSIG) over $24 as we eyed a potential "double top" (bearish). One session later the stock has given back nearly 9% so we can get our holding back in full (plus I added a bit more exposure since we've sold so much elsewhere)

Bookkeeping: Selling Half of CNinsure (CISG)

Chinese insurance firm CNinsure (CISG) is about 4.5% on double the normal volume in just the first 90 minutes. Maybe there was a positive brokerage note out on this name... I don't see any particular news and earnings are not for a while. I assume something is up, but who knows what it is.

As the stock is peaking, and potentially forming a double top I will sell half our stake north of $24 and look to rebuy lower OR... if the name clears the mid $24s, we'd be interesting in buying say north of $25 as that would mark a potential new leg up.

Unlike AsiaInfo Holdings (ASIA) I missed buying the breakout in CNinsurance (CISG) and am kicking myself the past week for not jumping in on a very obvious move. Once it broke that late August high of mid $19s it should of been bought. I have no idea what caused that massive spike in volume 4 days ago but that also yelled "buy". Then the move over $22 took it to yearly highs, which was a 3rd signal. Only about a 0.2% stake... bad. Very bad.
