There has been some of this floating around as if it is something new so I decided to look at the SEC filings for Centro (CNP) , formerly New Plan Excel Realty Trust for more information. The rumor was this venture was formed in October to perhaps finish off the Kmart chain for Sears Holdings (SHLD).
