There has been some of this floating around as if it is something new so I decided to look at the SEC filings for Centro (CNP) , formerly New Plan Excel Realty Trust for more information.<>
The rumor was this venture was formed in October to perhaps finish off the Kmart chain for Sears Holdings (SHLD). Like the other rumors (Sears going private), not so fast.

The intermediate trend is good. Most of the stocks are near their 20-day high. I am generally positive on the sector.
TREND ANALYSIS
In the Figure you can see a summary of the trend conditions of the Index stocks. I used the 20, 50, 100 and 200 days moving average of the close. The background is Green when the close is > than the moving average. Red when it is below and yellow when it crosses. + and - indicate the slope of the moving average.
RANGE ANALYSIS
I have also programmed Tradestation Radarscreen to display:
