Revisiting Carlisle Companies: Time to Buy?

I wrote about Carlisle on September 11, 2008 (click here for the article). Due to time constraint, I didn't write about the action I took shortly after that writeup which was selling Carlisle on September 25, 2008 at $33.02. After dividends, it was a gain of 10.34%, or 28.55% on an annualized basis (143 days of holding).

Govt identifies port, shipping projects worth crores

The government has identified port projects and shipping projects estimated about Rs 55,000 crore and Rs 45,000 crore respectively, to be completed by the 11th Plan period. Union Shipping Minister T R Baalu in Kochi inaugurating the Small Ship Division of the Cochin Shipyard Ltd (CSL) said that the Ministry has identified 285 port projects worth Rs 55,000 crore and 111 shipping projects worth Rs 45,000 crore, which have to be completed by the 11th plan.
