DBB tracks aluminum,copper and zinc.

Copper

Chile is the largest producer of copper.Chile is facing power shortages which will hamper production.China will continue to grow at 5%+ rates even after the US slows down,the infrastructure spending in energy rich countries like Russia,the middle east will continue unabated and the US infrastructure is in shambles which at some point will have to be remedied.

I believe that there is money to be made in commodities and the current run in base metals is fuelled by Chinese reconstruction following the snow-storms.There is a chance that DBB will give negative returns when the world economy slows but that is just a buying opportunity as Asia (read China) will continue to grow(albeit at a slower pace).I am buying now because 1.I am not a good timer of the markets 2.there is a real supply shortage.
