After watching the sneak preview for the new Disney/Pixar film Ratatouille, I can affirm that the magic that was Disney is now present in John Lassiter.
By purchasing Pixar and not subsuming it into an existing broken system, Disney has resurrected it's relevance in the market for animated movies. You could see this Pixar relevance in Cars, Incredibles and other films prior to this new one, but somehow the ability to tell such a good story about a french rat while being owned by Disney seems more relevant than all those other challenges.

In the chart you can see a negative MACD divergence and interestingly 3 long down candles after a couple of months during which DIS had printed good ranges only to the upside. $35 is the first strong support.

I inherited DIS stock from my former PIXR holdings. I was sad to see PIXR go, but believed that DIS would benefit over the long term from the acquisition. Sold half of my PIXR on the day of the announcement, but kept the remainder to see how things worked out. So far, Iger has done pretty good job - I'm not dissappointed. Still holding.
