Biopharmaceuticals Biopharmaceuticals -- unless the feds begin to position themselve in a way which indicates they'll shorten the lifespan of a biopharmaceuticals patent, companies like Genetech will be great long terms plays, on a sea of other choppy variables. I've watched them for several years and know their inner working.

Aside from the lackluster earnings numbers this evening, the stock had run up into earnings, making it appear like a blowout was expected. These people will likely take their gains. Also check out the number of options being given away like candy to employees, eventually people are going to get tired of the company lining its own pockets and coming up short every quarter.
