-30.42% in 115 days I believe that the massive increase we have seen in DOWs price this past month is largely due to the economy and therefore the dow (as in DJI) recovering. It is questionable if the Q2 "earnings" were already factored into the price as there were mumblings about the chemicals sector doing well (DD, HUN etc...) but I got out @ 22.33 today just the same.  Good luck to everyone who is staying in.  The way I see it if it goes up, good for eveyrone who stuck it out, but if this one dips back below $17.00 again I will be back in to join you. Eastman Boosts Guidance – Analyst Blog

Eastman Chemical Co. (EMN) has raised its full year 2009 earnings guidance to $3.50 per share from the initial guidance of $2 to $3 per share, driven by an expected strong growth in its core business. The company is hoping to deliver about 20% or over $6 per share growth in annual earnings by 2012, as the economy recovers completely. The Zacks Consensus Estimate is pegged at $3.22 for 2009 and at 93 cents for the fourth quarter. Dow Gearing Up to Divest – Analyst Blog

Dow Chemical Company (DOW) is planning to sell more non-core assets in 2010 to pay off debt from its $16.5 billion acquisition of rival Rohm and Haas in April of this year. It is planning further debt reductions of about $12 billion. Dow stated that it plans to lighten its debt load and achieve its financial targets ahead of schedule.
