It's hard to follow a rate cut when it takes months and months for bank to trust each other to begin lending.  US banks have enough to lend, the only problem is... they don't know who to lend to.  Everyone who wants money is a risk at default... and why lend money to a GM/Chrysler, SHLD, when they have the borrower has the potential of not paying the money back.

Dead cat bounce, although anything under 8,000 should be bought!

Bad market times are great times for stocks which bet against various indexes in the stock market, I have compiled a list of the stocks that do well when the index does not.
If you have the ability to do a lay over chart you can see that the stocks listed below each index, they rely on that index doing badly, who says you cant make money in a bad market. <o:p> </o:p>

These stocks will produce as long as the bear market holds, my best guess is til about september. <o:p> </o:p>

Thank god for shorts.

Virtually anyone who has employed a buy and hold, long only strategy this year has felt a world of pain. As I write, the S&P 500 is down 12% for the year, having staged its worst June performance since 1930. Many great businesses—Starbucks, Coke, etc—have seen their share prices fall dramatically. Other, not so stellar franchises—GM, Citigroup—have fared even worse and seemed destined for bankruptcy or break-ups.

Quick short-term trade while DOW nears top of range.  Less volume, less strength.

market moving, may swing up short ETF’s don’t make it when the market returns to the bull. Take the gains and run. This is not the time to be in ETF’s. Good time to buy those great stocks, which were hurt during the down turn.

Many stock Ultrashort ETFs are showing positive divergences, which meshes rather well with our view that the markets are looking toppy on the minor trend, at the moment.
