FirstSolar is different than most of the solar company, it's solar panel is based on thin film which is in low cost. Solar companies are benefiting from the run up on oil prices. FirstSolar's sales and earnings are up in a fast pace due to high demand of solar panels and low cost of thin film. In short term, FirstSolar will out run most of other solar stock.
A close above the resistance level of $291.99 could trigger a buy signal,and I suggest buying at that time. I see this stock as a good long investment and will continue to grow in our economy as the world searches for ways to "green"...

First Solar is a great Company, but its a risk. Soon the dollar will strengthen because feds possible last rate cut.(.25%)for awhile. Other countries (EU) will now start their rate cuts, which will also help strengthen the dollar. Money will flow out of Oil and make alt energy less competetive. I think big sell off. These types of stocks have reached their limit.

Beat estimates, raised guidance, was triply upgraded by analysts. Then it drops on an Oppenheimer downgrade and lowering oil prices. Neither of those effect their earnings, which can be expected to outpace estimates as worldwide solar demand increases.
