Alternative fuel system company Fuel Systems Solutions Inc. (NASDAQ: FSYS) continues to progress. The company Thursday reported Q3 EPS of 77 cents versus the 43 cents First Call EPS estimate and the stock was up $8.82 to $42.63 at mid-day. I'm reiterating my Buy rating for the company, first recommended on August 17, 2009 at a price of $30.42, but wait for a pull-back following Thursday's surge. If bought FSYS in August, you're up about 40%.

Isn't it funny how much the world changes in 2 minutes? Specifically between 8:29 AM and 8:31 AM.  The market was broken, and even after a material selloff was only bouncing along at +2 on the S&P in premarket.  This was below the 50 day moving average and things looked dire.  Then one economic number and the world changes.  I won't even get into the GDP figure, it's like the litany of other government report (CPI - inflation, Labor - employment) that are deeply flawed... not to mention the fact it will get revised multiple times in the months to come.  [<>May 10, 2008: Finally Some Main...

Wow, one of my long term limit buy orders finally hit out of the blue... unfortunately it reports earnings next week so we'll have to keep a close eye on it.  The name is Fuel Systems Solutions (FSYS) - this was a big winner for us in 1st half 2008.  Basically natural gas engines, much of the production in Italy.

Fuel Systems Solutions, Inc. engages in the design, manufacture, and supply of alternative fuel components and systems for use in the transportation, industrial, and power generation industries.

I've received some requests for what I have in my growing limit buy order list, so I've decided to do an update with current candidates. Keep in mind I don't intend for all these to hit; I have staggered prices along the way and in different buckets with the hope that maybe half a dozen will eventually hit as we had happen Friday with Myriad Genetics (MYGN).
