Cedar Fair is a master limited partnership that operates amusement parks, the most famous being Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH.  The company has 3 sources of revenue: food & games,admission tickets, and hotel lodging.  None of these will hold up in a recessionary environment, especially in the Midwest, the company's strongest area and the one most hit by the country's economic downturn.  Same park slaes inched up 4% year over year. 
  The most recent 10-Q explains that their costs are fixed.  That's bad news when revenues are flat or dwindling.

  Cedar Fair is a master limited partnership that operates amusement parks, the most famous being Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH.  The company has three sources of revenue: tickets, food & games, and hotels.  There is a recession going on in this country and it has especially hit the Midwest, where the company's strength lies.  Same park sales inched up 4% year over year.  Tapped out consumers won't be ponying up for funnel cake and cotton candy to the same extent as past summers.  In their most recent 10-Q, they admit that their costs are pretty much fixed.  You do the math.

WallStreetNewsNetwork.com just came out with a list of over 25 stocks selling for less than $10 per share, with market caps over $250 million, and yields over 10%.     There are over 35 stocks going ex-dividend in early August. Many traders use a technique called dividend buying, which is the buying of stocks before they go ex-dividend and selling shortly after the ex-dividend date at roughly the same price, but receiving the dividend. This technique generally works only during a bull market. You may also want to check out the definitions of the various dividend dates.

    The following stocks all have market caps over $500 million, yields over 1%, and are going ex-dividend in early August. Eight of the stocks have yields over 4%.
