Insmed (INSM) continues to be a Benjamin Graham Net Net stock. As I mentioned in my October portfolio update, I was waiting for the quarterly results to be released before I took further action.

INSM Still a Net Net Stock

After a full quarter, INSM still remains as a net net, selling below liquidation prices despite the market run up during October.

When you look hard enough and turn over enough stones, you are bound to find something sooner or later. One company I found and purchased recently is Insmed, Inc. (INSM).

Before going into what it does, the company is a pure Benjamin Graham net net stock, without including any long term assets or intellectual property, as well as a negative enterprise value stock. It is exactly the type of stock I like.

Insmed (INSM) issued an early morning press release on Monday stating that the company, for the most part, will cease all operations regarding the advancement of IPLEX. The PR was accompanied by a trading halt that was in effect for about half an hour.

According to the report, the company will utilize the remainder of the existing stockpile of IPLEX to treat patients who are currently receiving the treatment.

As has already been posted here, shares of Insmed (INSM) were cut in half on Thursday after the release of sub-par results in an exploratory Phase II trial.

The amount of negative investor response to the MMD press release and subsequent collapse of the stock intrigues me. Certainly, it was a bad day for shareholders of INSM, but Iplex is far from dead in the water. In fact, Iplex is not even dead in the water regarding MMD!
