Consider Kellogg, Because Breakfast-In Is 'In'

Filed under: Kellogg Co (K), Stocks to Buy Kellogg Co (K) is a U.S. "frugal consumer" era survivor, hence I'm obviously reiterating my buy rating for the company's shares, first recommended on April 13, 2009 at a price of $40. If you bought K in April 2009, you're up about 35%.
Look for Kellogg's FY2010 revenue to increase a decent 4% to 6%, aided by tolerable commodity cost increases, modest pricing power, and strategic/prudent new product launches.Continue reading Consider Kellogg, Because Breakfast-In Is 'In' <>Consider Kellogg, Because Breakfast-In Is 'In' originally appeared on <>BloggingStoc>>...

Kellogg is a defensive play with growth potential

Filed under: Kellogg Co (K), Stocks to Buy Regular readers know that my investment bias here is toward large-cap companies with demonstrated business models and a competitive advantage in established markets, preferably with a favorable, global trend as a support. And when you can combine these traits with defensive stock qualities, you're two steps ahead, which is why cereal giant Kellogg (NYSE: K) is worth a review.
The market sell-off and tumult of 2008 spared almost no stocks, and Kellogg took a beating as well, with investors driving shares down to the $35-range from $60.<><>Continue readin>>...

"One group of stocks that has always intrigued us are those whose symbols have one letter," notes George Putnam. who offers a fascinating review of 9 such single letter stocks.Â
In his The Turnaround Letter he says, "These stocks have been beaten down pretty badly and now look particularly appealing." Here's a look at 5; the rest are featured in our following post. "Agilent Technologies (NYSE: A), which makes electronic and bio-analytic measuring devices, was spun out of Hewlett-Packard in 1999. Revenues surged in 2000 as did the stock price, reaching a lofty 162. <>"But the compan>...

Kelloggs is a major food products manufacturer. It manufacturers a diversified range of products, eg: cereal bars, fruit snacks and breakfast cereals. Its P/E is sensible at 18.2 (when Google's and Amazon's are 50+), it is paying out a reliable dividend, currently 2.5% and it's brand names are imprinted on the minds of many consumers. I believe that Kellogg's current share price represents good value and will grow in the long term. Good Luck, ~~~~Shane Halloran.
