Landec is an interesting company with potential to really grow in the coming year as we focus on alternative fuel sources and renewable energy. This company deals with a number of technologies but has very interesting research on ways to control when seeds begin to grow. This is very useful for farmers and as we look to less dependence on oil this could be a very useful product.

Now for the fundamentals. LNDC is sitting at it's 52-week low so has lots of room to grow (no pun intended).  It has a  PEG of .6 compared to 2.04 of DOW it's biggest competitor. This shows me that this stock< />< />...

Landec Corp. is a play on the hype surrounding alternative energy. The concept of renewable energy really intrigues people, so naturally we want to profit from it.  An emerging technology that has gained much media attention is ethanol, a fuel made mainly from corn. Unfortunately, ethanol is not a mature enough industry to be directly invested in, but Landec is poised to profit from this increased attention.
