I just read an article in Ad Age covering TV options in the US. They state that 100MM homes use free broadcast. When the US chages to digital I think we will see a big influx of upgrades for sets. Yes I know that you can get OTA HD but few of that segment will opt for it. They will just hitch hike to Best Buy and get a new set on credit. Note I am also a holder of Comcast for this and other resons.

For a long time LG has taken the back seat in the electronics market. Poor R&D + product development kept LG from becoming a leader in this industry, however, in the recent past they have produced new, innovative products that boast quality. I see a bright future shaping up for LG. take it or leave it.

With panoramic LCD wide-screens staring at me from every street-corner billboard...I'd be a fool not to buy LPL at this price.

They are established players. Although under stiff competition from Samsung, they'll perform well.

Love their niche branding and product placement strategy.
