Marvell Technology (MRVL) shares are taking a hit from a cautious note this morning from Morgan Stanley analyst Sajay Devgan, who advises invetsors to take profits in the stock.

LSI: FBR Ups Rating To Buy As Business Stabilizes

LSI (LSI) shares have received a lift today from Friedman Billings Ramsey analyst Craig Berger, who raised his rating on the stock to Outperform from Market Perform. Berger maintains his price target at $4.

Berger offered four reasons for his more bullish stance on the chip maker’s shares:

    LSI: S&P Upgrades To Buy From Sell After Steep Slide

    Standard & Poor’s analyst Rafay Khalid today upped his rating on chip maker LSI Corp. (LSI) to Buy from Sell “primarily based on valuation.” He notes that the stock is off 25% since February 6. “While we think the weak global economic environment will hurt end-market demand through 2009, we believe LSI has enough cash and investments to repay its total debts and still have cash remaining,” he writes. He upped his target on the stock to $3.50, from $3.

    LSI today is down 31 cents, or 10.4%, to $2.66.
