Last week, Texas Instruments (TXN) and Optoma unveiled their pico projector at the InfoComm show. While to many not familiar with ‘pico projection’ this appeared to be an innovative new product, however to investors of Microvision (MVIS), this is the Death Star.

Microvision is a $200 million market cap company that has posted less than $16 million in sales in each of the past 10 years. In 2007, sales were only $10.5 million and EBIT was a negative $27 million, which was an improvement from 2006s $7 million in sales and a negative $29 million EBIT.

This stock is better than that. 
Yes, it's risky.  Yes, there are competitors.  Yes, the market is volatile. 
However, the pay-off on this one is going to be exponential.
Heads up displays and digital eyewear for the military are ... HOT.
There is a giant move toward cell-phones with digital media.  There is also a greater professional-class integration of software based features.
In my mind, the question here is not the MEMs based technology, but rather at what point this will take off.

Microvision makes innovative displays that allow you to access things like navigation systems or email or phone messages from  your windshield or in your eyeglasses. It also offers technology that will allow you to use your cell phone as a projector. MVIS already has deals with auto companies and its Nomad Display system is used by the U. S. Army.
