It is curious how badly a lot of government related firms have fared despite an oil gusher of Obama spending... not sure if the stocks simply got ahead of themselves earlier in winter or what is going on but a lot of weakness in so many of these names. What I wanted to see during this bounce was stocks in my long side of the portfolio jump back over key resistance areas. Those that do not, must be considered candidates to cull. (or short in fact)

Just an avalanche of earnings to try to get through... catching up. NCI (NCIT) reported nice earnings Wednesday night; organic growth was "ok" but with acquisitions their growth rate was solid. This should be a nice solid, "boring" type of situation.
NCI, Inc. provides information technology services and solutions. It engages in designing, implementing, maintaining, and upgrading secure information technology systems and networks.
We like these sort of names for security of income stream (huge reliance on federal government here, especially Department of Defense) and NCI reported nearly 2.5...

A lot of trades today.
There have some very strange movements in individual stocks the past few days - NCI (NCIT) today has moved 12% out of the blue (this was another general that has taken some bullets). It continues to look like there is not enough money to push up all sectors at once - all these leadership stocks in January completely lost their support as people ran to Chinese/tech/commodities.
In this market you have to take the trade or else the market will erase it for you. I don't see any news to push it down as it has been headed the past week, and I don't see any news today to...
