Five American Innovators to Buy During the Current Downturn
NEM

With the gloomy financial news coming out of Wall Street, it may be tempting to bail out of all US equities and invest in a Russian ETF. But that would be a bad decision. A bear market creates buying opportunities. <>We invest to make money but your portfolio can also reflect your moral and nationalistic ideals. A country is a family. Everyone matters. Never quit. Never turn your back. I recommend buying innovative American companies with a significant customer base in emerging markets (line your pockets while reducing the trade imbalance). The current landscape is littered with good bargains>...

Scratch Oil For Now – Gold, Alternative Energies Will Outperform Near-Term

Our over-saturated information world has immunized us to the most pressing problems we face as a species. The price of oil, for instance, is no longer interesting, even though it sets records weekly, simply because it has been doing so for the better part of a year, and so that news becomes uninteresting through sheer ubiquity. <><>The economic repercussions of this cost of oil, which, as feedstock for gasoline, heating oil, jet fuel, diesel, and many plastics, takes a long time to reach into your pocket and squeeze hard though. Would you believe me if I told you that the price you are now pay>>...

I was going to post under GLD, but i figured posting under another mining stock would be better for the general public. Physical GOLD itself is bullish right now staying above a breakout creating a new bull channel. confusion is in abundance because this is occuring while many gold shares are in a bear phase. two cannot occur at the same time, but i know for fact that the price of gold and gold shares will be much higher in the months to come. As i've said before in other reviews, do your own research and you should be fine. Read geopolitics, watch the valuation of currencies, futures etc. ...

It looks like NEM couldn't break through the nearest resistance at 48. It turned back and broke near 44 support. An ascending triangle breakdown was finally confirmed. A little late but going short here.

Down 32% from its high. Gold will probably take a litlte more beating up to the U.S. election and as institutions exit. Most of the selling pressure looks gone though...so now it's a question of the technicals on the gold price...and how the stocks track it. NEM is still a little pricey, but a five year chart shows it has declined to the uptrend line. Long-term MAs look to have rolled over to the downside...and that's the risk here, that gold's run as an asset class is done. I disagree and think this is a great price to pick up one of the world's largest gold companies when everyone is kick...
