Netflix (NasdaqGS:NFLX) released results which were at the lower end of guidance. The press release header would have you believe substantial progress is being made. Read the press release carefully. 2007 Q1 free cash flow is now negative $18 million compared to positive $11.6 million for the comparable Q1 in 2006. Also Q4 2006 was previously positive. If U R a hardcore moviephile, there's no way U'd switch to Blockbuster, despite their immensely ValueForMoney Total-Access-Plan + brick&mortar presence.

Any other movie-delivery service just cannot  match the tremendous range and lightning-fast inventory mngmt that NFLX is known for. Result: Ultra-loyal customer base.

 Think of any rare/vintage/international/Cannes/gourmet/nouveu-art fare and NFLX will have it. Their moview recommendations are awesome and soon U'll find U'rself on an enriching journey of exotic movies, U didn't know, existed.

Netflix Hastings Graduates To Microsoft Graphic_rating_sell NFLX
Microsoft (NasdaqGS:MSFT) just tipped its hand about how it views the future of video downloads by appointing Netflix (NasdaqGS:NFLX) Chief Executive Reed Hastings to not only the board but also to the all important finance committee of Microsoft.
