The NY Times could very well be past its time. This dinosaur of old media content is now finally realizing its paper or other options. This is a tough stock to swallow because their must definitely be a catalyst to turn this giant around. The positives are its been done at the Wall Street Journal with Rupert Murdoch, the company finally realizes an increased need for an internet presence, and the family owned company may be ready to move on. Appears to be at/near bottom of trading range / forming bottom of a base. Right at 200-day moving average. Dividend yield is around 3.8%. And it's a great paper. Share structure, control issues and long-term decline of newspaper circ are negatives. That it is possibly America's best newspaper are positives.

Jared Kushner Tried to Poach Sorkin For 'Observer'

Andrew Ross Sorkin has been fielding job offers including one from Jared Kushner, New York Magazine reports. Kushner, who married Ivanka Trump to much fanfare last month, is the young publisher of the New York Observer, and twice this past year has tried to hire the superstar business journalist away from his high-profile gig at The New York Times. But Sorkin, who will be profiled in next week's issue of New York, declined Kushner's offer to make him Editor-In-Chief of the publication.
