Certainly this stock has had some major swings in its history. But I like this on based almost entirely on straight fundamental analysis and a good common sense approach. OMG is small enough to be versatile in a field of big players like DOW, which is 30 times its size. With a nice low P/E hovering in the mid-5 range (compared to a 30+ for the industry) and ROE at 20%+ and an OM of 15%+ The potential for upside in the long-term (1+ year) is high. Not to mention a fantastic balance sheet with free flowing cash to continue to spurn their impressive growth and a book value higher th< />< />< />< />< />< />...

Will continue to rise. P/E is only 5-6x, PEG is .4, no debt, good insider ownership for a company it's size, doubled their revenue last quarter, and it's near it's 52 week low. This company got dragged into the muck with the rest of the market but will rebound strong.

Consolidation will increase OMGs value. Only trading at 5x multiple and a PEG of .4 this is a great value with tremendous growth. It should return to it's 52 week high within the next 5 months. Speciality chemicals got dragged down with the rest of the market but irrationally so.

OM Group: Worth the Wait for Patient Investors
|
<>The recent rout of commodity stocks has uncovered some real gems for investors to consider, such as Cleveland-based OM Group, Inc. (OMG), which Ockham Research rates a Strong Buy at present. OM Group produces hundreds of metal-based specialty chemicals and powders from such elements as copper, nickel and cobalt. Their products are used in the manufacture of auto catalysts, stainless steel, rubber, jewelry, rechargeable batteries and alloy metal plating applications. OMG stock has pulled back dramatically from its high of $62.73 in June of last year to $30.55 in Tuesday’s trading. Much of <>< />>><>>...

10 Questions For John Dorfman
<>Value-investor John Dorfman was kind enough to share his perspectives in a previous Q&A session last year. Recently I asked John ten follow-up questions that I thought you may enjoy:Kirk:Â Â Over a year ago you decided to devote full time attention to your firm, Thunderstorm Capital, and were getting ready to launch a new mutual fund. How are things going for you now?
<>Dorfman:  I’m thrilled about the mutual fund. We launched the fund, which is modestly called Dorfman Value Fund, on December 31, 2007. As of June 30, we were actually up fractionally for the year – which in a nas><>><><><>>>><><><>>>><><><>>>><><><>>>><><><>>>><><><>>><><>>>><>><><><>>>><><><>>>><><><>>><><>>><><>>><><>>><><>>><><>>>><><><>>>><><><>>><><>>><><>>>><><><>>><><>>>><><><>>>><><><>>>><><><>>>><><><>>><>>><>><><><>>>><><><>>>><><><>>>><><><>>>><><><>>>><><><>>>><>><><><>>>>>...
