Interesting to see the ripples in the market from today’s news that Cisco (CSCO) has given in to shareholder pressure and boosted its bid for the videoconferencing equipment supplier Tandberg. <><>For Radvision (RVSN) holders, the news fulfilled their worst fears. <>Radvision (RVSN) shares are getting crushed this morning on news that Cisco (CSCO), the company’s largest customer, is buying Tandberg, a key competitor. As several analysts note this morning, Cisco of late has accounted for close to 40% of Radvision’s sales, reselling products that are directly competitive with video conferencing gear sold by Tandberg. The suspicion, of course, is that all of that business with Cisco will before long completely disappear.
