<> <> Sprint is rolling out slew of SMARTPHONES including the "Sprint Hero" based on Google Android Software. Also a Samsung Roll Out coming soon. Release to the public on the "HERO" will be October 11, 2009. They are rolling out several smartphones anyone of which may very well be a worthy competitor to the "IPHONE". Smartphones should be a disruptive technology in the short and the long term. They will be capable of providing all our need in respect to telephone, TV, video, messaging, storage, etc., within a brief time. I think Apple's explosive rise and in the market during>>...

Just another one of my billion dollar picks. Nothing but good news comes out of Sprint. First it was the sprint nextel contract two years, now it is the Sprint nextel no contract, unlimited texes, and minutes, nation-wide. Economy is in the dumps contracts get cxled and no contracts get served. Please join me and make some money, In plain English I know many people with out jobs still paying their bills. I am a rookie, but this would be one of my long term picks, aggressive for the up and coming month.

<> Although not completely immune from the current global economic slowdown, many telecom services companies are currently yielding higher amounts than tobacco companies and the Utilities Select Sector SPDR (XLU). Although many of the foreign telecom companies included in the ETFI Global Telco Services Dividend Income Index issued special one-time dividends over the past year which inflates their trailing 12-month yield; both Verizon (VZ) and AT&T (T) are currently yielding over 6% each while trading at multi-year lows. Another Price Cut for Palm – Analyst Blog
Palm Inc.’s (PALM) new smartphone, Pixi -- a lighter and cheaper version of the Pre -- can now be bought for just $24.99.
Both Wal-Mart (WMT) stores and Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN) have slashed the price of the new Pixi phone by 75% from the original $100 after the Pixi went on sale last week at Sprint Nextel Corp. (S). Amazon has also cut the price of Palm’s Pre to $79 from $99.
The price cut may attract consumers in the coming holiday season, however we remain unsure about the future of Palm. Moreover such steep price cuts confirm our view that both the Pre and the Pixi are just not selling ...

Motorola Boosts iDEN Business – Analyst Blog
Motorola Inc. (MOT) has decided to purchase iDEN base station assets of the privately held RadioFrame Networks Inc. The iDEN (Integrated Digital Enhanced Network) technology allows cell phone calls to move on the same network as communication from two-way radios. In general, this technology resembles walkie-talkie features on cell phones. Financial terms of this deal have not been disclosed so far. Motorola itself is the pioneer of the iDEN technology that RadioFrame had licensed for its base station products. The main reason for this acquisition is the superior iDEN-based base station pr...
