Comscore (SCOR) has had it up to its eyeballs with being blamed for blowing Google's quarter (GOOG). A week after a company blog post failed to quiet screams that inaccurate Google click data had cost investors millions, Comscore's CEO Magid Abraham sends an even more strongly worded email to clients.

The bottom line?

• Our data was accurate.
  
• Pundits and investors who are blaming us should look in the mirror and ask why they couldn't even be bothered to distinguish between "US" and "Global."
• The untold story of Google's quarter is that Google's US business stinks.

Will the screaming never end? As we reported on Friday, investors who lost money shorting Google (GOOG) into Thursday's conference call wasted no more than a nanosecond in scapegoating Comscore (SCOR). With global anger boiling over, the Wall Street Journal and New York Times pounced on the scandal over the weekend.

COMSCORE'S BOGUS, INACCURATE CLICK DATA COST INVESTORS MILLIONS!

It's a sexy story. If only it were true.

As we noted on Friday, Comscore's data about Google's US paid clicks:

Data generated from ComScore (SCOR) over the past quarter led investors to believe that ad-clicks for Google (GOOG) were weak. The GOOG shorts/bears were using the SCOR data as fuel for sending GOOG shares lower this whole year. All that changed yesterday after the close, when GOOG reported stronger advertising revenues that helped to generate EPS of $4.84 versus analysts' consensus estimates of $4.52.<!--more--> EPS grew at a rate of 31.5% versus the same period last year.
