Microsoft (MSFT), which recently filed with the SEC to raise almost $4 billion in debt, is probably contemplating a partnership meant to boost traffic through its forthcoming “Bing” search engine, which is expected to be unveiled today at the All Things Digital conference in Carlsbad, California, by CEO Steve Ballmer, writes Jefferies & Co. analyst Katherine Egbert in a note to clients today.

ComScore (SCOR) shares have been battered after the company yesterday trimmed its 2009 revenue growth outlook. In response to the news, Oppenheimer analyst Jason Helfstein today cut rating on the stock to Perform from Outperform, chopping his target to $11, from $14.

ComScore (SCOR) this afternoon cuts its forecast for 2009 revenue growth to a range of 109%-12%, down from its prior forecast of 15% growth. The Internet focused market research firm said that the reduced outlook reflects “the impact of macro-economic conditions on our customers.”

For Q1, the company posted revenue of $30.6 million, consistent with its previous forecast of $30.3 million to $30.8 million. The company posted a non-GAAP profit of 14 cents a share, above the company’s guidance range of 9-10 cents a share. GAAP profits of a penny a share were in line with the Street.

If social networking site Facebook ever finds a way to make money – and that’s a big “if,” I’d imagine – it could pose a threat to Google (GOOG), according to a 15-page note out today from RBC Capital Markets analyst Ross Sandler, chockablock with charts and graphs and tables.

Sandler has an “Outperform” rating on Google and a price target of $475, which would be 43% above the current price.

ComScore (SCOR) shares are trading lower this afternoon after the company posted disappointing Q4 results and guidance that fell short of Street expectations at the top line for both Q1 and all of 2009.

For Q4, the Internet market research company posted revenue of $31.6 million, short of the Street consensus of $32.5 million. Adjusted EPS of 5 cents a share was a penny ahead of expectations.

For Q1, ComScore sees revenue of $30.3 million to $30.8 million, with non-GAAP EPS of 9-10 cents a share. The Street had been looking for $33.4 million and 8 cents.
