SE is off my buy list like PTY. Oil has had it's run and there are better stocks with greater dividends and options. Considering the current oil crisis and the low price of SE it is time for a change.

SE is only a dollar off her 52 week low following the past weeks sell off. That pushed her dividend yield up to 4.2% with four dollar window of possible gains to collect on not including options.

OK I will be the first to admit I did not see the mid east crisis, or should I say threats, getting to this current level. World demand and the threat of war have kept energy stocks flying. But for how long? I am still a buy low and sell high investor. I will wait for a pull back and pick up another sector.

I love energy but not this one at this time. Why? The large float and only three dollars away from projected high. Wait for a pull back

I believe this spin-off is a good special situations case. Bruce Berkowitz and insiders have been buying this stock at around the current price.

Spectra Energy Corporation (SE) reported its third quarter results of 30 cents per share, compared to the Zacks Consensus Estimate of 28 cents and the year-earlier quarter earnings of 49 cents. Earnings came in above expectations on the back of contribution from the company’s fee-based businesses.

The price of natural gas is relatively very low, so consumers don't mind cranking up the heat. Now were are entering the Winter season when consumption will increase. How about looking at natural gas utilities as possible investments, especially because of the great dividends. Seventeen of these stocks pay 4% or more.
Here are a few examples of high yielding natural gas and propane utilities and limited partnerships:

Visa: Not Everywhere I Want to Be
<>There has been no shortage of market commentators talking about an impending credit crunch that will hit the credit card companies severely at some point. Noted investor Peter Schiff even issued a wholesale condemnation of credit cards in the past month. While I agree that America has overdependence on credit and that the credit card companies will all suffer during the next year, the prognosticators that believe this is the end of credit cards are going overboard. The question is not whether the credit card companies will suffer; it’s how much they will suffer and how much of that is alr><>><><><>>>><>><><><>>><><>>>><>><><>>><>><>><>><>><>><><><>>>><>><><>>><><>>><>><>><>><>><><><>>>><>><>><>><><>>><><>>><>><><>>><><><>>>><>><>><>><><><>>>><>><>><>><><>< />< />< /><><><><><>>>><>><><><>>>>><><><>>><>><><>>>><><><>>><>><><>>>><><><>>><><>>><><>>>><><><>>><>><><>>>><><><><>>>><>><>>>>>><>><>><>><><>>><>><>><>><><>< />< />< /><><><>><><><>>>><><><>>>>><><><><>>>><><>>><><>>>><><><><>>>><><>>><><>>>><><><><>>>><><>>><><>>>><><><><>>>>>>>< />>...
