Just added heavy into SNKD but market has control. I feel SNKD will make a nice rebound should things get sorted out.

Something could happen soon in the ongoing drama over DRAM-maker Qimonda (QI), which is 77% owned by Infineon (IFX). Shares of both companies continue to lose ground on concerns about the fate of Qimonda.

According to Retuers, Infineon CEO Peter Bauer today said that the company is still optimistic is will reach an agreement to sell its stake in Qimonda by year end. He said the company wants to sell the entire stake, but if needed would spin off some shares to holders. SanDisk (SNDK) shares have received a boost today from Goldman Sachs chip analyst James Covello, who added the stock to the company’s Buy list with a $13 price target.

He writes that the stock’s valuation “is now too attractive to ignore.” He notes that the stock has fallen out of favor after Samsung pulled its $26-a-share takeover bid, but that “SanDisk retains some of the key IP in the NAND industry, which we believe is worth significantly more than what is priced into the stock today.” He says that if the company successfully renegotiates a license agreement with Samsung, even with a 50%

Cowen’s Daniel Berenbaum this morning upgraded the stock to Neutral from Underperform, noting that with the stock down 76%, the stock is “approaching levels where, absent a significant worsening of already horrific fundamentals or a failure of restructuring actions, many investors could reasonably see valuation support.” This is not to say he would buy the stock: he wouldn’t. Well, with no cash on hand and my portfolio set, I have a bit of free time on my hands during the week.  Every once in a while I will read a 10-K or two, but overall my mind is busy with school.
