SWK gapped up at the open on Friday morning and moved above a resistance level on reasonably high volume. It looks like it may have a couple of bucks to the next upside target, but I am keeping in mind that a bullish move here may be contrary to general market direction so I will keep a fairly tight stop if I enter early in the week.

Further, the U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner announced Tuesday that the United States government will commit up to an additional $2 trillion to encourage new lending and remove toxic assets in an effort to end the credit crunch.Continue reading Stanley Works (SWK) still does things right <><>S>>...

Who would have guessed that there are three public company’s that are Stanley’s. We have the most well known, Stanley Works ( NYSE: SWK ), Stanley Furniture ( NASDAQ: STLY ), and Stanley, Inc ( NYSE: SXE ). <> Not to take anything away from the other Stanley’s (in fact, I’ve only cursorily looked at them), but the one I like the most is Stanley, Inc. I love the hometown companies, and as a government contractor, it is no surprise that Stanley (err Stanley, Inc.) is right in my backyard (Arlington). In short, the company provides systems integration, business processing outso><><>>><><>><><>>>><>><>>...
