Teradata (TDC), which provides data warehousing systems, this morning posted better-than-expected Q4 results.

For the quarter, the company reported revenue of $493 million and profits of 45 cents a share; the Street had been expecting $465.5 million and 37 cents. Citing the current economic uncertainty, the company declined to provide 2009 earnings or revenue guidance.

TDC this morning is up 93 cents, or 7.1%, to $14.09.
