Stock is way oversold.  CEO Simmons has bought 5.7 million shares in 2008 alone.  Titanium metal prices have falled from $13 to $11 over the last year plus, but other metals and commodities have risen.   Most analysts look only at commercial airline business (building airplanes creates the biggest demand for titanium, but there are hundreds of other uses) and don't consider the military.  Air Force awarded a $40 billion contract to Northrop/EADS to build tanker airplanes.  That contract is under review and recompetition with Boeing.  Regardless of who wins, it will create huge demand for ti...

Growth case: Titanium in ever increasing use, and  will be used for all of the next gen aircraft -- price action on TIE has been degrading as BA delayed building 777. With BA finally starting construction, Titanium will lead airplane construction.

Earnings per share for the country's largest producer of titanium was $1.1 million, or $0.01 per share, compared to last year's $40.2 million, or $0.22 per share. Titanium Metals Corporation (Public, NYSE:TIE) is one of few companies who haven't benefited much from this year's bull run.
