Filed under: International markets, China, Newsletters, Mutual funds, ETF Investing, Commodities, Stocks to Buy, Technology With its own economic stimulus program in place, a relatively stable banking system, and a stock market that has been resilient in recent months, numerous leading global investment advisors are looking bullishly towards China.
From technology to power and from individual stocks to ETFs and from Hong Kong to Taiwan to mainland China, we turn to seven leading advisors for their favorite ways for US investors to take a stake in Asia. <>Mark Skousen looks to energy producer <>Hua>>...

<> The following includes a growing list of companies whose stock are trading in single digits despite a market cap exceeding $5B as investors no longer need to venture into the minefield of micro-cap stocks for tremendous volatility and trading opportunities. It is not meant to be a complete list, but represents well-known companies across a variety of sectors which offer the potential for high returns once the current market pessimism passes and economic growth returns. I've chosen to invest due to a number of factors: 1. High return on equity (compared to industry) 2. Low debt to equity ratio 3. PEG < 1 4. Relatively low institutional ownership 5. Increasing growth, partially due to AMD going fab-lite 6. Extremely efficient management (high inventory turnover and revenue per empoyee) This is a long-term buy with low downside and a relatively greater upside.

<!--adsense#post--> <!--adsense#ypnpost--> I have my sights set on picking up some shares of Micron Technology, Inc. ( MU : 10.41 0.00% , vol: 0) and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited ( TSM : 10.12 0.00% , vol: 0). Both stocks are down for the year. Micron in particular has been hit quite hard. A flash memory partnership with Intel should bear some results as Intel Corporation ( INTC : 25.8901 0.00% , vol: 500) gears up to market the product as a replacement for magnetic hard drives. Retail pricing remains to be seen. If pricing is low enough I see a ...

TSM was upgraded awhile back by ValueLine, and by others to "outperform." (the latter a dubious category, unless it means "outperform our other picks.")
The use of "chips" in automobiles, appliances, robots, etc is still growing exponentially - not to mention changes in Game Consoles. It is quite possible we will soon see the "games" themselves coming out with chips (possibly programable) and few producers have the capacities available to TSM. TSM is the biggest producer in the world.
