Our part of the company brings in a large percentage of the company's overall revenue and even though there is a recession the amount of work has increased. I work for Tetra Tech ECI. The corporation has many positive aspects and work going for it. One of the largest clients is the government (Navy, Army, Air Force etc). The contracts that Tetra Tech has with these clients are for 5-10 years, so no matter how bad the economy is doing Tetra Tech has work. The company is also involved in growing environmental work, such as wind energy and also have work in Iraq. <> I believe TT has a lot of promise or else I wouldn't work for them. Tetra Tech Inc. (TTEK) reported earnings per share of 33 cents for the fourth quarter of 2009, matching the Zacks Consensus Estimate of 32 cents.
Revenue in the quarter was $575.1 million, down 11.4% from $649.2 million. Revenue, net of subcontractor costs, was $367.0 million, up 5.2% from $348.8 million for the same quarter last year. Income from operations was $32.7 million, up 6.1% from $30.8 million for the same quarter last year. Net income was $20.5 million, up 12.6% from $18.2 million for the same quarter last year.
